Hay Literature and Arts Festival is one of the biggest and best literary festivals in the world. With hundreds of speakers and events, with a range of award-winning authors, Nobel prize winners, comedians, musicians and poets, this really is a very magical place to be.
As keen Hay Festival veterans we’re looking forward to returning to Hay-on-Wye for our 12th year. Our canvas village is set in a beautiful secure field only 2 fields away from the festival site. With a range of cosy yurts and spacious bell tents, we have plenty of options to make your stay extra special.
Please note: If you've been before you'll know the orchard we usually set up camp in, we're now located directly over the road from this field.

Check is in from 3pm to 8pm daily. Late arrival is fine by prior arrangment via email or phone call.
Part of the pleasure in coming to the Hay site is the staff - nothing is too much trouble, the team work so well together and the guests benefit from that. The showers are great, food in the restaurant is lovely, even the loos are ok - really liked the addition of the posh loos next to the big tent. Can't think of anything you could do better!

The whole place was brilliant. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The service was brilliant and very helpful if anything needed doing. The restaurant in the evening was perfect and catered for all at an affordable rate. The showers were fantastic, always hot and powerful. The yurts themselves were beautifully decorated and the main yurt for the bar was beautiful. Breakfast with bacon and egg buttie was a wonderful start to the day. Well done on the hot water bottle initiative too. Everything had been thought out to a very high standard.

Lovely location. Friendly and helpful people. Yurt as comfortable as a hotel room. Good showers and appreciated the proper loos this year.
